CL VS 74 Corvette Stingray

My bro just purchased a 1974 Corvette Stingray seriously modded with 551 hp and does under 11 in 1/4. It will be here in a week.
Do you guys think its time to slap on those Type S stickers for some extra HP? LOL
Seriously though, I saw one at a stingray at a local dealership. Its a wicked ride. He's gonna hand my ass to me on a platter. I'm supposed to be the olda brotha hea!:shakehd:

Everyday-wise,... I would pick the CL of course. I think he might as well rent a private pump at the gas station cuz its gonna burn gas like no tomorrow. lol

I have a 91 vete convertible with 35 lbs of torque and a 99 CL. I like my CL but i LVE my vette. Two different beasts. I dont drive the vette in bad weather but it is fine in heavy rai the times i got stuck. Snow is a different story. I drove from RI to NY this week and took the cl (storage space, snow, comfort). Given a choice i'll take the vett at any opporitunity. Not a big stingray fan though. The C4 convertible is a great car. When you have 350 lbs of torque on tap it will make you think differently about the CL quick. I like my CL for what it is dependeble, economical day to day ranspotation. There is no comparison to a vette though of any year.

You werent kidding Robert! The Vette came in, its a freakin' MONSTER! Holy Molly Macaroni! I fell in love w2ith the car the minute I turned it on!

The tranny needs to be upgraded because it was never upgraded for racing with all the other parts. It just needs to be touched up a little. Can anyone recommend a good place my bro can take it in the NYC area?
