cl just got keyed.... any suggestions for paint colors?

so this is what happened, on friday morning i got up and drove to work late as usual, while at work i got a call from my brother saying that atleast 4 cars had been keyed (including his 08 tsx) on my street the night before and to check my cl. so i went out at break and looked at the damage, all of the body panels have scratches all the way down to the metal, including the trunk, roof and hood(which has about 20 deep scratches in it). so what it comes down to is when i claim it, the whole car will be repainted, and if it's all gonna be painted then i might aswell switch up the color a little. the original color of the car is flamenco black, and i wanna stay close to a dark color, so i don't have to paint the engine bay etc... also i'm just on vacation right now so i'll get pics up of the cl when i get home next week. and now i am asking for suggestions of what dark color will look good on the cl, i haven't had it for that long so i haven't really thought about what color i would want, and that's why i would like some suggestions from you guys

Don't do a color change just go with the original color the finish will be much better and it will also come out nice....juts my 2%

Trust me I have learned it the hard way...the no amount of skill or money can make up for the OEM paint job......

I'd get a new color personally, that's just me.

If I were to paint my CL a dark color it'd either be Sundance Gold (which isn't really dark), Carbon Gray (which has been done), or dark metallic blue color.

Isnt it really really hard to change color after oem black? I think black looks the best(IMO), probably cheapest too since they dont have to change much.

OEM black with Nissan/Honda white pearl on top. It will become Carbon Grey, or very close to it.

It depend on who prep n paint your car.The more$$$ the better the job. I just painted my 97 black cl to a rsx blue. It toke me a weekend, door jam n all, it came out better than oem. Just to let you know labor is $$$$ in paint not worth it unless u got someone you know.

Id probably go OEM or Java Black Pearl like Lippstuh on the 2nd gen forum. But i'd want to do a full extensive job, like the engine bay and doorjams and everything. Couldn't do it 1/2 assed.

If insurance is paying for it, most likely it will be your factory color. And a word of caution; when you change your car's color your car's whole look will change also...lights, accents, interior vs exterior, etc... Find someone who is decent with photoshop, that is cheaper then painting the car and not liking the outcome.

i highly disagree with that. it all depends on:

1. who you take it to
2. method of painter
3. equipment/materials used
