cl insurance

who has full, who has just liability?my time to renew is here and being as though i'm getting a new ride soon i'm debating dropping full coverage on the cl.(will save almost $3000 a year).i have no chargable accidents with the cl,and no one tried to steal her(haven't heard that many cl's get stolen although i know it's easy and very possible) so i might take my chances with just liability........

sidenote: my insurane expired feb 10 (i had no clue and my agent forgot about me) so for almost 2 weeks i've been driving around like everything is all good. that could have been a SERIOUS problem as much as i get pulled over. i had an angel on my shoulder..........

i have just liability on mine. i think u have to have comprehensive/collision if u finance the vehicle. i'm not an agent, but mine said i just needed liability for my cl, because i paid straight cash for it. but i still have to pay compre/colli and liability on my truck, which i'm still payin for. my rates with both rides went from 640 (with just truck) to 790 (with both) for 6 months. so it went up about $150 for the cl

nope, no military insurance. That's still through my carrier in MA, I never switched my license, plates, or insurance to NC since I got the CL back in 03. Helps to have a "clean" record for 5 years ( at least according to MA it's clean! )

I got military insurance, only insurance company that gives refunds at the end of the year if they make a profit

And trust me, you want to keep full coverage, with all the money you've dumped into her, if something happens to her since you plan to keep it, you'll get SCREWED. 3 grand a year? WTF?

I was under my dad's from when I was 16, then they opened it up a few years ago to other family members and I got my own policy

I only have liability, glass, the usual, but no collision, it just isnt a good idea for an 18 year old with a 10 year old car. B/c I'm in college and don't drive much, I'm only payin 360 per 6 months

SHIIIIIT I have full coverage/colision on my CL, and it looks like this

Hasn't been on the road since september i think. Was gonna go down to winter car status and just theft/fire but I was too lazy to call about it, so just paid out the ass extra, no point in calling now, since spring is coming, and she'll be back on the road soon Maybe I should call and tell them that someone hit my front end and did that

$0/month/year.

You need no insurance/registration for the track. Only thing I do, is when I do drive it on the streets, I just buy insurance for the month and pay the fees at the DMV to have a temporary tag for the month as well.

$3000 over the coarse of the year is nothing when you get into an accident and have to come out of pocket. 3000 adds up quick.

I dont care if the car is 30 years old. Full coverage all the way.

If I had put collision on my car when I was driving it everyday, it would have been an extra $2000 a year, so that would have brought it to $3500 for a year, jsut not practical. If you are really concerned, put that money you would give to insurance in the bank so you'll have it if something does happen instead of throwing it away. Collision only makes sense if the car is newer or has decent value. Collision on a 10 year old car that is worth $5k? Not the best option in my opinion.

Also percy, most ins companies drop your ins per vehicle when you own 2, cuz you're not driving them both everyday, trust me i know

full cover, why chance it...

mines around $100/month CDN for full everything + plus upgraded rental (so worth it, last time i got an is300, time before that a hemi durango, which was wicked timing for my warped tour road trip, 'course i wasn't supposed to take it out of the country, but....)

my insurance just ran out this month, it was almost a week before i realized it, 'cause apparently im borderline wicked retahdid, but put it in my own name for once this time

it was even less when it was in my gramp's name though, goddam demerits/age

We have full coverage on both cars...
CL = $314 every six months
Accord = $346 every six months
Both have $250 Collision, $100 comprehensive, $3000 med pay, UM, rental, glass and 50/25/50 liability.
Of course, our house is also insured so we get an in-line discount plus safe driver discounts and we are both over 25 with no CHILDREN. Teen age drivers jack that shit way up. I have a friend who has a 16yo son and a 17yo daughter... His son costs him $260 per month and his daughter around the same. Fawking rediculous.
