yah, my first car was a '87 olds cutty supreme, and i bet it could pull on my cl (eh.. maybe. that thing had some HEAT) but i had to share it with my older and riskier brother who crashed it. so i financed it with my parent's credit, got a low low monthly payment, and viola! now that im moving, i have to sell it but hopefully if i get a buyer im gonna be sittin' pretty in a WRX so, i have no worries. and eric, i am no longer in school, but i drive a dark red cl, low, clears, and stock rims right now.

Waddup Guys,
I dont know about other Teens around here....but i'm also only 18. I got my car when i was 16, from a used car dealership. But unlike everyone else....I paid for every single thing that has to do with my car. Like the mastercard commercial goes....1- acura CL $13,000 1-complete Sony Stereo System (installed by me) $1,200 5-windows tinted - $220, 4 - 18" Rims $1200 insurance every 6 months $700............Paying for my 1st CAR all by myseLF PRICLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it when i got it, and everyone at sKooL jocked it. I really didnt do much to it, but many people were impresSed I won first Place at our High SKooL CAr show late senior year. There were about 45 cars, ranging from DEl sols to navis, a vette, souped up aCcord, civics, 2 beemers, saleen Stang, Umm.....the list goes on and on! HAAHAHHAHAHAHAHa I will try to scan a pix of the tropHy.......I had SOOOOOooooOOOOO many haters though, they said that i rigged the car show...RRight! I was really involved in our skools Auto Shop program......and everyone knew that, i had the highest grade from all the classes. The Head judge was my Auto Teacher. Whateva......I got CL pride and all you haters can:wackit:

Styling is fine...Its how slow these things are that bugs me.

I'm tired of just beating up on riced out 4 cylinders. Its starting to bore me.

Time to get a car that can play with the big boys.

um i denno about you but civic are nothing to me on freeways. so what they got 1 n 2 gear on me once we hit 3rd its over with... they are just in my rear view mirror. no civic ever reved on me yet. i raced a 200sx with i/e/h and we were dead even and im stock with shit in the back of my car. im virtually no scared of any stock cars but a few... dont need to name the obvious

HAHA I went from an 86 Cutlas to a 97 CL too. Thats mad funny. I loved that old car. It was black with a white stripe on the side and whitewall tires. The interior was bench sweats covered witgh maroon valor type material. That ish was pimp!! I got mine from my grandfather and it was in MINT condition too. I got rid of it cuz the rear wheel drive in a long car like that was deadly. I fishtailed whenever it rained.

I see quite a few around here, most 30+ but there are a few around were people are tryin to hook up, 2 that look good, but I have to say mines the best :P , but as for a 1st car I had a 83 accord POS, only had it for a yr cause it break down everyother month, then I got my civic, learned more about the import world and all that on the civic, so now that I have the CL, I know what Im doin so Im not Getto Rigin this car, but I was wait for like 2 yrs for this car, I made sure I knew what I wanted and waited for it, and I love my car

My teacher has one, and she's always staring at mine,
All the kids at my school think it's a Honda Accord, but they show it respect now that they know what it is(no offense to Accords)

They said it was a old guy's car until they tried to race it Undefeated at the school's "1/4 mile"

There are not a lot of 1st Gens in Michigan. Some of the ones I see are females. They like their Lexus and BMW's around here. There are alot of TL's though. TL's also seem to be the choice.

I think it's purely based on location & availability based on Acura dealerships.....in my hometown, i've see maybe 2/day other than mine....@ Purdue, i see them 2x/week.....and it really is an older crowd driving them- there is no acura dealership in town (not that means anything, but the CL is a great looking car that not too many people have seen....it doesn't have the same draw or history as the integra or civic, both of which are seen constantly on campus)....it's a luxury coupe for goodness sakes I'm happy w/ it....feel like it's a concept car sometimes w/ the crazy stares i get....it catches people off gaurd cuz it's not a tractor
