Changing fuel pump

Alright I just went through 3 pages of search results and didnt find anything promising. Has anyone changed their fuel pump? I have a 2.3, I assume the 3.0 has different parts but the layout may be the same. On niedjb's site he has an install for the 2.2 where he takes off the fuel tank. I have an accord service manual and they indicate the pump can be accessed by removing the carpet in the trunk. Before I go pulling the carpet out I was wondering if anyone knew? Dust if you read this, is it covered in your CL manual? Countdown to turbo: 16 days. Thanks.

I'll check, but I'm 99% sure that you've gotta drop the fuel tank!

EDIT: Yup, you need to drop the fuel tank.

I remember reading a thread by q2slinger who had his fuel pump replaced by the dealer. They cut through his floor panel to access the pump. Pretty ghetto!

Thanks, that was quick. When I searched I saw that thread but I didnt think the subject like would yield a relevant thread, but i remeber reading that when it was new. Dropping the tank doesnt look too bad, but taking the carpet out of the trunk would have been easier.
