CD Changer Specs !!

Hi Hi,
Does anyone have the specs for our first generation Bose head unit ?? I need to get some information about the CD changer pin out from the back of the head unit. If someone can actually tell me which pin go for which signal, that will be a big help.

Thanks,

Chances are no one will be able to tell you which pin is which... but you can buy an adapter ($30 from Circuit City) to adapt to a 6 disc Alpine Changer, which is a very good unit, it actually sounds better that the one in the dash... thats what I did and all I do is load up my changer and let the head unit collect dust inside. Give that a shot, I doubt you'd be able to figure out the pins... I'm sure they use weird voltages and combinations for one function, but more power to you if you feel like sticking test meter probes in there. But save yourself some time and get the Alpine, they usually go for $279 plus the adapter. The whole Alpine thing strikes me a little weird... seeing how Panasonic (Matsushita) makes the deck... Weird...?

Hi Hi,
Well ... I actually need to figure out which pin is which to build myself an AUX-IN or RCA-IN out of the factory head unit using the CD changer output available. It isn't an easy job to find out, and I'm aware of that. However, if someone knows it by any chance, that will be a big help.

Try to find yourself a haynes service manual, most auto parts stores carry them. They come with basic wiring diagrams which may show what you are looking for.
