Can someone explain this to me?
Hey everyone im buying my catback and i've been told the piping really only needs to be mandrel bent. So im looking for a cheap catback with mendrel bends, then ill put a good muffler on it afterwards. Found a cheap one

For some reason i've got a gut feeling that i'll buy it and that it wont be able to fit a muffler on it, that its end is welded on. Am i going insane? Or am i right?
Local shop quoted me 100$ to weld on pipes and what not so if thats the case i'd rather buy

That is for a Jeep Wrangler.. but it has 2.25inlet which means my Cat needs to have a 2.25outlet? Or they will have to use an intermediary pipe?
If im planning on having it welded on... then any mandrel bent pipe with an inlet = to the outlet of my CAT is fine right? Then the outlet of the pipe has to = the inlet of my muffler? Please explain.
If they're welding then i can get any tip i'd want correct?
Please shed some light for me

Three Wheelin'
The size doesn't have to match. If the flanges aren't compatible, then the muffler shop cut and weld on new ones.
You can have a 2.5" catback bolted up to a 2" cat with no problem. The hp gains are negligible because of the bottleneck . Ideally, you want a header with a collector that has a diameter that's equal to the cat and exhaust.
