ok whats more important.. getting the car to run or passing smog? i think ur going to need to change more than ur oil pump to get it pass..

it must have been a miracle how i registered mine.. driving to so cal anytime soon?

1st priority is running, and I will be selling it so
2nd priority is passing cali smog so cali buyers are an option.

u need to run each dizzy wire to your ecu directly using these 2 diagrams...

so if i follow this and run those 9 wires straight, it'd be from the dizzy (jdm that came with the motor) to my existing (stock 5spd CL) ECU ... and I'll stay obd2?

why does that obd2 dizzy plug look like my obd1 jdm dizzy plug and not my 97 cl obd2 plug?

because the CL has those sensors (tdc/cyp/etc..) wired to the ECU directly...
and not to the distributor in the older hondas..

ok, so grab the cut off dizzy plug from the JDM harness and run those 9 wires straight the the ECU and jumper them in. On it, just gotta call and see if the mechanic will let me come by and work on my shit at his shop, maybe if it's outside his insurance would let me.
