CAI whistle

Any cure for the whistling noise made when using a CAI on the 3.0? Would a bigger throttle body or a different CAI reduce/eliminate this? I currently have the AEM CAI (not V2). thanks

i had a aem short ram and switched to the v2. with the short ram the hum was really loud. almost made me want to drive my teg2, but once i switched to the v2 the hum was all but gone. still get a nice rumble when driving, but when idling you can barely hear it.

not concerned about the hum, really, it's actually a whistling sound around 2 - 2.5k rpm. Anyone know what I'm referring to?

Get yourself a K&N cone filter, it'll get rid of a lot of the humming and whistling.

it's only a little bothersome, I've lived with it for 3 years now. I'm going to be installing some headers and a new crank pulley soon and figured that while I'm in there I'd re-investigate this noise. My understanding is that this is caused by the different diameters of the intake and the throttle body. I was thinking that a larger TB may alleviate this somewhat, but I'm not sure.

definitely not a "hiss". That is a different sound which doesn't bug me at all. Perhaps I'm the only one with a "whistle" noise, but I doubt it. Anyone?

The whistle is very normal, any civic or integra with a CAI makes that same sound. My buddies GSR does that, and my buddies 97 Civic EX whistles too, "the whistle goes, woo wooo"
