bumper problems

Just failed an inspection because my third brake light is not working...

Just bought the car, and I have no idea what happened to it

A spoiler was installed on the rear trunk so I think the third brake light got re-wired to that light. The connection to the rear window light has been cut, and there are two wires sticking from the spoiler.

I know this very broad but do you think that the brake light on the spoiler needs to be replaced or the wiring is messed up?

take it to your local car-audio shop... tell them what happened exactly as you wrote there... they will find out for you problem and fix it probably for no charge, thats when you tip them.

you could also try the local pep boys or auto barn.. they might charge you though.. the car audio shop might charge you if they are dirtbags.. a good car audio store shouldnt charge you if you dont need new hardware and the problem can be taken care of in a matter of minutes, once it gets to an hour of labor dont be surprised if they try and slap you with 45 bill charge ..

thats the way i got my speakers fixed after my stock amp blew.
45 for a hour of labor
