raybestos are made for american cars aren't they? i know for a fact that raybestos brake pads are no good for import cars because they make your breaks squeek.

almost all aftermarket pads make your brake squeeks. It's just the brake dust on them.

damnit. i don't want to get stock rotors again. i got brand new ones put on at acura about 16000 miles ago and i already need new rotors and pads. pads i can understand, but i don't think rotors should wear down that fast. ever since i got my new rotors put in i haven't changed my brake pads and now its down to 5%. I also need new rear rotors and pads.

My front Brembo cross-drilled rotors are wearing much faster than the stock rotors. I'm not sure if this is due to the higher speeds that I'm currently running, plus I hit the track a number of times this year.

The rear cross-drilled and slotted rotors are wearing much better (not Brembo).

The front stock rotors came off at 60K (and were still good), I'm now looking at 25K on the Brembos, and think they'll need replacing in another 10K.

Look on Summitracing.com for powerslots. I have powerstops with Axxis metalmaster pads and like them.

I hope mine aren't wearing too fast though. I've already noticed that the top of the rotor has the tinyest grooves in it like an older rotor will develop. But that's only at the top 1/4 inch. It looks like the top is wearing faster than the center??

We'll see how it goes.

Don't know what you want to pay, but autodynamic has some:

Front Rotors
Rear Rotors

the fronts say '98, but I think they are the same for '99's
ghander is right, the '97's are different from the '98/'99's

Do front-wheel alignment on your car. I had the same deal.

YAJ.. if you did a search you woulda found all my posts... lol

there is a guy in Hartford, CT that can get CL rotors from BRADDI.. Its an Italian race co. that makes after market rotors... This guy X-drills and slots on premises in CT... Our (98 & 99 CLs) have different rotors from 97s and Accords!!!!

go to www.eurobraketech.com and read up on it.. call DAVID and get you 4 rotors for about $300.00... x-drill/slotted front - x-drilled rears...

After you get the rotors put on LOOSEN AND RE-TOURQUE YOUR LUGNUTS!!! Hondas are sensitive to uneven lug tourquing and the rotors get warped. I'll bet you anything those slackers at Pepboys just used the impact wrench (BIG NO NO) to zip on each lugnut in a clockwise fashion (ANOTHER BIG NO NO)

I wouldn't guarantee that this wil fix the problem since the damage may already be done but loosen the lug nuts then hand tighten them in a X pattern alternating sides etc. Then just progressively tighten them as tight as you can. That'll make sure they are on with even pressure.

I just replaced all 4 of mine at about 60K. I just got the OEM rotors cause I think they last longer and I got them at cost.
