Bose Audio System

Bose Audio System
Just added an Alpine CHM-S620 CD changer to my stock Acura Bose system this week. This unit is identical to the dealer optoion except for the pin assignment on the cable. An inexpensive adapter cable (BlitzSafe HONALPV1) took care of that. Total came to C$330, about half the dealer's price. Bought the Acura CD changer attachment (Honda-speak for mounting bracket) for another $80. Much better install than the "L" brackets that came with the changer. I found out what makes the CD changer "attachment" so expensive: it also includes the proprietary Acura din cable, foam "cushion tape" and believe it or not, one wire tie! (sic)
The whole thing works great, sounds good and looks like it belongs there. The Alpine din cable is exactly the right length if you run it along the passenger side doorsill and then up and along the top of the back seat.
The only other thing I want to do with the sound system is tighten up the bass a bit. Now I'm not into making my ride into a boom box you understand. Going out on a limb, I'd guess that someone has already built a small subwoofer enclosue that fires through the opening between the left and right rear passenger seatbacks. So if anyone has done this, please reply with details of your install.
All I want is one 8" or smaller sub and still have at least 3/4 of my trunk available for cargo. Can anyone help?

you could give the Infinity Bass-link a shot, its really tiny and it puts out amazing bass, loud or soft. Perfect for any kind of music or taste in sound. Plus its all contained in one unit, its all you have to buy. If you dont get crutchfield, try Crutchfield, I think they are like $400.

...or we could all argue about it!! IT WAS A SUGGESTION!! god, why the hell are ppl so damn immature on this board. If you dont have something nice to say, don't speak!! Simple as that, let the man listen to different things and see what HE likes... i was only making a suggestion cause he asked!!

well its hard to say because there are many brands that some ppl arent aware of that are really good...like the idq's i have...lot of car audio forums love these...i never liked them until i got them in...they sound crazy...they 12's i have the sound that hits as tight as 10's but has the ability to go as deep as 12's are made to go...there are many brands out there...my advise is go to a car audio specialist store(disregard circuit city, best buy, good guys, al & ed's, etc.)...go around...try to go to a store that are dealers of many different companies, because one store might say crystals suck but thats cuz they cant carry them and all that stuff...so just use your judgement and do research and im sure you will find something to ur liking
