Blew My Motor...

Blew My Motor...
Haha...that piece of shit blew on me while I was practicing my lines on the canyons. It seems to have been my valves or something by the way it sounded. Well, no worries, I'm going to be looking for the obvious, a new motor. And I have no choice but to do what I had planned a few months earlier now. J35 block with the J32A2 head. If you guys can, help me find these parts.
btw...I wasn't upset at all when it happened, just started laughing, knew it was going to happen eventually with how hard I drive this car and the amount of miles I have on it.

125 shot....
It was running on pump gas at the time...but I did run it at 6k for like 8min straight like 2-3 times a week running it at the canyons for the past year. Like you said, it was a matter of time, and I already knew it was coming, by the way it was acting up on me lately. I drive this car hard every week. What can I say, I like to drive cars the way I feel they should be driven

lol, yeah that would do it. I agree with you. I would drive my car like crazy if I had the money to pay for repairs or even just upgrade the internals in order for me to drive it like that withut harming it.
good luck with the 3.5/3.2 conversion? nt sure what you mean but I'll have to see.

not just this week....every week... And with my new motor, she will go through the same beating....
On a more serious note though, the 110 leaded gas helped me out a lot. I use to run too rich with the nitrous, but the leaded gas helped lean it out a bit. She never gave me a problem the night I ran her. I'm more than sure it just ran too lean yesterday which caused her to go. But that was my dumb fault. Shoulda just completely ran her on E, and then put in the normal gas back in. Although I've seen enough people mix the two, and not have problems, so I don't know. All I know is that I'll just stick with C16 from now on, or just run her on a stand alone and have different fuel maps set up based on what it is I'm going to be doing.

Don't go with the J35 block... it isn't as good of a block as the J32. The cylinder walls don't shed heat as well as the J32. You can use the J35 crank and J35 rods w/custom pistons in the J32 block. This way you'll still have the extra 300cc of displacement and a better block. It should be just as easy to find a J32 as it would be a J35.

If you go J32 or J35w/J32 heads you'll need custom pistons, otherwise the longer stroke of the motor with pistons that are 10.5:1 is going to increase beyond 12.0:1. Custom pistons to bring you back around 10-11.0:1 are going to run you around $800.

Probably not. You'd need the ECU from a Type-S motor for the J series motor and it is pretty complicated and doesn't have the capability to be re-flashed.
Either one is gonna be damn complicated.

k20 is NOT a good choice. underpowered for our boats. We need torquey engines, like the h22 or j30 32. Most pple with 02+ civic Si's are trying to swap the RSX type S motors in. but its up to u. if u can put a 6speed j32 DO ITT!! ill be 1st in like to put a new bullet hole in ur car to celebrate.

Not when the amount of aftermarket support for the K-series is SOOOOOOO HUGE.
