You'll hate my car then, cuz it glows green like a spaceship, I'm not done installing LED bars either. I got rid of the ugly ass rice pedals from like 4 years ago though

The pedals matched the stock lights perfectly, but they didn't match the LED conversions for shit. At least everything matches now. I've converted every bulb in my interior to green led. I like them though, it's not neons and it's not stock so I'm there. Some people will say that putting CF in my headlights is ricey too, but it all matches too and no one else has done it so it's unique and that's all me.

Cuz I didn't want to

I answered that on page 1, and Azn, I don't mind it on black cars, just didn't want it on mine. Trying to accent the CF, black shrouds and smoked corners. Plus blackhousings on a black car looks too much like raccoon eyes to me

Damn, I spend 5 mins hooking up a set of LED's and it has taken over my thread, that's why you should never post multiple projects in the same thread. Alright, some people think colored lights are ricey, but hey, some people think cf hoods on CL's are ricey, and think smoked corners are ricey, and tails, and even projector retros. I can't please everyone at once, but hey it's like we always say, It's YOUR car right? The headlights took me 4 years and over a grand to do, so I'm very proud and very happy with them. I will post some pics of the garage door down, that's a good idea I always like seeing those on HID threads

They do look good, right now my whole console and glove box and stuff are out, so it'll be more hidden and not as bright, I still have another set of bars for the front, and a set for the back seat that are going in with a switch to be used when it's parked. The set you guys see is just for driving at night And they do look sweet, LED's way more than neons, better glow

She's runnin now bro, took her for a few drives. Gotta get an alignment since I took the omni's off and put the stock suspension on for now. Inspection on her is up tomorrow so I'm gettin ready to get her inspected. Getting the horns and headlights wired was huge. Now just gotta cut the OEM fogs out, install my new fogs, and get the bumper back on. After that, just gotta put the interior back in and she'll be driveable. Gonna drive her for a couple months and then put her back in the garage for more winter projects

Damn, didn't even see that. I missed a spot, but it's on the inside of the cage so you can't see it. The way I had it taped inside, it covered some of the inside parts. But I did rip a little bit of paint off on one edge, that's just inside the cage you can't see it when looking straight at it. I was just trying to show that I hacked the stock wiring harnesses for the horns to wire up the hellas

Is it me or do they not give the light it should be? I did a retrofit on my alero with some audi projectors and I got the same problem with little light output (8k hid's behind them) For some reason it looks like it should be bright. But huge props on the fitment man! Looks great!

Hard to see in the pics, it may be cuz you're using 8K hid's, you're getting more color than light output. My 6K is the same way, I'm actually debating on switching to the 4300K but the 6000 is just SO damn sexy

well see the good thing is with 4300k it shouldnt make to big a diff color wise because your getting that cutoff and flicker that bmw's have anyway. See you used the d2s housing though. I just cut the projector out and refit it back in the housing. Then built around it.

the d2s bulbs def have a nice output. I know the color with 4300 and 6000 won't be that different, but like i said I like my 6000 so I think i'm just gonna stick with them. Thanks for the comments marc

So I love my 6000K HID's so much, I just had to order 2 sets for my 4runner for the headlights and projector fogs. They'll have to do for now since I won't be retrofitting it anytime soon. One day though Just thought it was funny, just spent a bunch of money buying 3 matching pairs of silverstars, and within a week of getting my ballasts and projectors working, I went out and bought 2 sets of HID's for the truck

Son Of A!!!

I knew this was gonna happen, I was hopeful but doubtful. I had bought these fog bulbs like 3 years ago, long before I had all my HID parts together or the 6000K headlight bulbs selected. But here's what happened, my oem fogs were so rusted and nasty that I decided to replace them and put the new PIAA extreme white fog bulbs that I had in the new projector fogs. So I went to work cutting and splicing wires together to convert the stock fog wiring harnesses to my new foglights. So here's a few pics of my story, playing with the bumper, getting it ready to put back on the car for a while. Bumper hanging out with the ww lip and cf hood in front of it

Had to cut the rubber stoppers and wire ends off the stock harnesses to get the wiring out of the oem fogs, see the rust, all the screws are fused to the brackets and I will have to literally cut them out to put my new fogs in.

Spliced the wires onto the PIAA bulb wires.

Used the stock metal fogs to collect the solder, and act as a place to solder on.

Now the problem, the PIAA bulbs don't even come close to matching the 6000K hid's, not really a big surprise but i expected them to be whiter then what they are. Here you can really see the difference

So gonna use these for now since my bumper cover needs replaced and I'm gonna have to remove it at some point over the winter and whenever I remove the bumper cover, I'll probably buy and install a 6000k HID kit so that they'll match, but hey they'll do for now I guess. Just bummed cuz those of you that know me, know how anal i am and how EVERYTHING has to match so I'm really bummed these didn't match but I'll get over it, and deal with it soon enough
