I'm from Northeastern Ohio. 20 minutes from Akron.

I am just glad yours turned out so good, your CF shroud that you did is awesome and has to be one of the better ones I have seen. Hit me up on my email sometime at joseph.j.giguere@erac.com and send me some more pictures. now did you do the color mod to the shields?

Looks sharp, I like it.

On a completely unrelated note, I had a nightmare where I owned a Miata ( ) and someone stole the hood, trunk, and rear window from it when I had it parked in some parking garage.

NICE!! Looks really great blackack, props

I can't wait to get my tsx projos in!!
I hope you get the wiring figured out soon, I can't wait to see those things light up.
I think smoking the corners of the housings was a nice touch. It compliments the CF very well.

Now go get the wiring figured out!!

:iagree: x 46.
i'd meant to post in your other thread; your work is pristene, man -- the patience and detail absolutely shines right through. it's one thing to see someone do it well, but it's another to see someone do it right and well, from the roots out, in accord with a plan. takes great discipline to be blind to shortcuts, you've obviously got that.
really dig the engine job, very clean.
rad mounts look good, but will need spacers?
headlights are completely insane -- mike is the retro king; smart to study him. sure he'd be impressed though at your results.
can't wait to see it when finished -- especially the bay.

Some more pics, better pics of the retro, taken on my trusty 5.0 MP camera before I installed them, looking back, I had better lighting (daylight) then I did when I took the 10 MP pics, enjoy.

Before the cutting

After

Close ups of my customized bezels

Matched corners

Amazed these came out better than I thought

The one question that I have/had always had is how do you make sure they are straight?

I actually was just about to ask about aiming.
It seems like that is the toughest part.
Could you shed some light on this for us?

Thanks man, he's a pure bred american red nose, and he's the man, he loves sittin around and watchin me work, he'll chill on the stairs or on the front seat, and just watch me look.

Guys, as far as the aiming. You mount them to the stock reflectors. You have to center them and make them aim out, but then you can just adjust up and down with the stock aiming knobs.

Finally someone asked about the shrouds. They're Crossfire bezels that were trimmed and painted gloss black. As for the chair, they're part of my dining room table set they were free

As requested, here's some cutoff pics. Some of you guys aren't following the HID ballast thread, so I threw them up in here.

The result of a week of frustration and depression, oh and 4 YEARS OF WAITING

Using the ww lip box and CF hood as the backdrop, dark garage. Only one of my Phillips 6000K d2s bulbs lit, they are freakin BRIGHT!

Not so great picture of the light

Better cutoff picture

Some updated pics

Got the harnesses customized so they'll actually WORK with my stock 9006 low beam harnesses, the female plugs that came on the wiring kit were too small and didn't line the pins up right, so yeah no juice to trigger the relay on and off. Hacked them, made new harnesses from my 4runner's old headlights, soldered them all up, insulated them, then silicone sealed the hell out of em, and they work great now, just gotta mount the ballasts, but after that, they are all done. Tell me what you think, feels SO good to have them all wired up right and working finally.

Passenger side was second to be wired.

No lights on in the garage, that's all projectors. Still don't have the fogs mounted yet, so that's all headlights

Finally removed my 4 year old glow pedals, and replaced them with 2 x 6" green led bars hooked into the illum/dimmer to turn on and off with the guages. Looks a LOT better, and now they match the guages and all my interior lights. Still got 4 more bars to mount in the interior, but those are gonna be switched

Passenger side, you can see one of my helms manuals chillin on the floor, shows how bright they are.

Driver's Side

Crappy far away shot

Over the roof view of the light output, just headlights and corners

Headlights, highs and corners

They are ALIVE!

Hit 2 big milestones today, got the ballast wiring harnesses finished, AND got my hella horns and hella relay wired up in place of the stock horns. Had to do a hack job on all 3 wiring harnesses for the horns, but they are LOUD!!! 120 DB x 2 yeah they're deafeningly loud, we were testing them out in the driveway. I feel bad for any asshole that cuts me off. There's no way I could ever blow my horn at a pedestrian now, but you cut me off, you'll hear me

Stock wiring harnesses wired to the new hella supertones

New relay to replace the stock one.

That circle on the right says Hella, I now have hella horns and hella gen 3 hid ballasts

Night pics outside the garage

Pulled her out of the garage and took a couple pics of the beam output, hard to get on camera but wow do these projectors project that light

You can really see the TSX projector cut off on this one

I have brand new laser cut black floor mats, I just haven't put them in yet. I gave my old mats to my girl cuz hers were shot. They were aftermarket too, but she needed them more, and they were universal. And I already had a new set. I stole a pair of those paper ones from sears when I was gettin tires on my 4runner. You like them though? Thinkin about keepin em when I show the car
