I have a cheapo ebay intake and I love it lol. Cost me $16 and its good, gunns throw on a k&n air filter and it'll be just as good as an aem...(debatable.)

Another pretty cheap mod is a high flow cat, you can get a magnaflow one for around $80 and have it welded on for labor costs or do it yourself and instantly improves power by around 10hp I've heard.

The rule of thumb on here seems to be I/H/E - intake, headers, exhaust, then you get into your crank and underdriver pulleys, suspension, sway/strut bars, the list goes on forever. But most people start with I/H/E

unless u go turbo or with nitrous there's no point in building the f-series..

wont be anything great..you'll be a bit faster then slow

..i say h22 swap and go from there or just turbo

scrounge around junkyards, i got a guy to promise me an h22a4 for $800. went to pick it up and bitched about the PS mounting threads being stripped and got an additional $200 dropped off that. the thing only had 23k on it and came out of a 00 lude. didnt get the tranny though, it was an auto. but you sohuld be able to use a manual f series tranny with an h block anyway, they jsut have slightly different gearing.

I've never heard of the high-flow cat giving around 10HP

Since I switched to all Magnaflow High-Flow items: Cat, 22" Resonator & 14815 Muffler its been hella sweeter exhaust note, and more responsive.

Based on those high-flowing enhancements, I should be looking at 20HP+ increase then

I figured I/H/E would get 20hp at the crank, thats what alot of my friends have seen on their cars with those mods but every car is def. different I have come to learn, I guess I was too optimistic haha
