Best Audio System Setup?

What's a real good setup? I'm gettin tired of the weak ass Sony HU that came with my car (Used), and that Bose amp too. I'm lookin for a setup that has real high quality sound and a good amount of bass, but not so much that it's all i hear and just vibrates the damn car. I'm lookin to replace all speakers, the amp, and HU, maybe get a sub too. Any suggestions? Price range doesn't matter right now.

think Polk ES, eclipse, nakamitchi, focal, A/D/S, older PPI and soundstream. Alpine clarion and eclipse make good hu's. Just to name some of the good ones.

I have never owned an Alpine headunit but whenevere I have sceen one in a store or a car, I havent been inpressed with the feel/look of them, they seem cheap. Maybe it has awsome features and souds great but i have always felt the alpine buttons felt cheap. I like the pioneer headunits personally but regardless if you are looking for a headunit I would say you want to look for one that matches the looks of your car or one u just like the looks of, nice high preout voltage ~4-5 would be best. I think it pays off to have a cdplayer with crossover built in so u can remove the bass from your 6.5's and 6x9's if you have a sub. If you like mp3 cds then that might be a feature u like. Preout voltage is probably going to determine the quality of your sound greatest.
