belt questions

Hey wassup?

OK Today my local shop had a deal for 9.99 oil change, so i got my oil changed. I also told them to take a look at everything. The mechanic told me that my belts are cracked and that I should change them soon. He said that I don't have to replace them right away but within a couple months. He said it will cost 100.00 to replace them. How many belts does our car have? And what are they called?, I think he said I need to replace 2 different belts forgot the names! When do the belts go bad usually? Anyone replace any? What are good brand belts? I think the name he said started with a "N" for the belts.

yeah if he's telling you its 100 bucks then its your accessory belts.....100 bucks sounds right. only thing that will happen if it breaks is that youll lose power steering or A/C capability. Just hope your alt. belt dont break b/c then youll need a new battery within a day

well timing belt and water pump should be done at the same time. I had a friend of mine help me do it because Acura Dealership wanted to charge me $850 for the service...

FUCK THAT!

100 isnt too bad. each belt is like 10$ each. so theres 30$. and 70 for labor. not too bad. if u were in tampa id do it for nothing.
