I read that we should take the air bags to be checked every 10 years, how much would this cost ?

^ i don't really care too much bout them, but my last car when i crashed it the bags never deployed, and they would've prolly helped a little bit,

where did you hear this from that you need to check them? and how would this place check them anyways. sounds like an good oppourtunity for a shop to just take your money for no actual work, just my tho

They probably tap a 9v battery to the airbag wiring and see if they blow. When they do they say "yep they work, but you need new ones".

Personally I doubt worry about it, but I have read about the 10yr rule. I'm pretty sure that it's another case of covering their ass if something broke over the years.
