If your going to get enough horses to beat that you better get your money ready for that new tranny. Actually you might as well order it now. Good luck and you owe me a ride when it happens

I don't know how much more boost you can run with the stock block. I believe that graph was done at 15psi

first off what kind of turbo kit???? it's that funny that my friend has a B20vtec turbo hatchbach that runs 12.20's in the 1/4 mile and you some how your putting down more HP to the wheels than he was BULLSHIT !!!!!!! the 275 i'm talking about..

ok lets say for a sec you have what you say you have (witch you don't) you said i need a bigger shot right??? well anytime you want to run we can. you still need to get traction i don't i'll be out with the peace sight out the window....

he running 12's cause his car weighs 500 lbs. or so less. if niedejb is actually putting that much hp to the wheels...he has to be running low 13's, if hes a good driver, and if his tires can hook up. fastvteccl, how much hp did you get out of the vafc and how much lower did you adjust vtec ?

Its an FMAX kit but I'm not using their fuel solution.

Whats hard to understand about this? I showed you the graph. I have many pics of it on the car. I dynoed it on top of all that.

Damn bro! He had been posting progress reports all along about his turbo. Even when he did all of the gauges, clutch, etc. to accomidate it. He is only one of the few who can back up his claims.

Was it the bigger shot comment?? If I remember correctly, your car is putting over 280 at the wheels, correct? That's still more HP than he has..

Agreed!

He's been updating us over time. I don't get the impression that niedejb is a bullshitter. He's been pretty helpful to folks with some very technical issues.

Next time I'm in IL, I'll certainly get out of his way! VAAARRRROOOOOOOMMMMM

Fastvtecl,

that is entirely uncalled for. This guy has pictures of everything and a dyno to back it up, what more do you need. Your comparison of a civic hatch is retarded, no shit it's faster, it also weighs almost 1000lbs less. I'm sure if you gutted everything in your car it would be faster than 13.7.

Too much jealousy and hating lately.

Damn fast Vtec! calm down man instead of hatein on him before you know the facts ask the kid how he did it you might learn something helpful to make yourself a little faster than you already are.
Also think about how different every car model is and how different every single car from one production model can be.

Everyones touched on the weight issue buy you gotta take into account gearing ratios, driver ability, wheel size, tire quality, etc. Theres a million different variables which each having their own little effect on things for instance air density, hummidity, temperature, elevation all can create gains or losses in the quarter mile.

How can you not believe him check out his website, and he has been very helpful to a lot of people even to a know it all like myself.

I have a couple of ??? for you guys. How many RPMs can you turn with that motor?? Why was it running lean with 500cc injectors at only 270hp???

BTW, pistons don't make it OK to run more boost. As long as your tuning is good, stock pistons will be fine.

Redline Starts at 6 grand fuel cutoff is at 6500 on the stock Cl 4 cylinders. It was proabably running lean because he was forcing to much air into the engine for what his fuel system could handle. Im sure your familiar with basic chemistry regarding stoichiometry. Force in to much air the ratio becomes more than 14.7 to 1 and you start to run lean if your fuel pump and regulator cant hang with the 50cc injectors, and then as you already know you get detonation and nobody wants that.

I cant speak for niedejb though so you can ask him next time hes on, but Ive checked his stuff pretty hard and he checks out.
Also are you the kid fastvteccl was talking about with the turbo b20 longblock?
Where in Charlotte are you from?
Fastvtec what about you?
I used to live their out near the university till it started turning into the ghetto.

Its was lean cause I was tuning for 10 psi (4:1 FMU disk, all the VAFC settings for 10 psi ~-20-30% at some rpms). I was dialing in the Greddy Profec boost controller for the first time on a second setting and it overshot. The Profec just has pots you cant just dial in 13 psi and get it you have to test.

The 500cc injectors will get me more than adequate fuel for 300+ hp, I didnt want to change the FMU disk and have to tune the VAFC all over again since I was tuning for a flat a/f curve @ 10 psi not 15.

Forged pistons make all the difference in the world compared to cast. We could talk about dendrites, porosity, and eutectic compositions all day long if you'd like but a stock ringland vs a forged one is night and day different.

We have built a few turbo cars at our shop and I can tell you if the car is tuned good, the stock pistons will hold up. Your rods will need to be replaced before your piston will have a problem. If a ring land breaks, it's due to detonation.

I would try an adjustable FMU and a 255 fuel pump. That should fix your problem.

BTW, watch your timing, that and/or fuel can be the kiss of death.
