anyways scaned it, got 2 codes.....
p0335 : Crankshaft postion sensor a circuit malfuction
p1739 : Manufacturer controlled transmission sensor
i cleared and did it again and came up with just the p0335 the second time.

sounds like you got a bad sensor at the crankshaft. Might be a cheap part but I bet the labor will be alot. the might have to drop the engine to get to it which ain't cheap. that's why it cost so much to change my rear main seal. the part was cheap but they had to drop the tranny to get to it.

I have that rpm issue as well. Only happens between 2-3.5k. I always thought it was my TPS. I would suggest you do sea foam. Maybe it just carbon that throwing off your sensors.

since you have a 2.x you can change the crankshaft pos sensor with out removing the engine. however you have to take off all the other belts to get the timing cover off. so you should just change the timing belt while your in there. my bet is its in that sensor. try unplugging it and see if it stays the same.. if it does thats your problem. ecu bypasses it putting itself in limp mode.. i dont think its a tranny issue cause your d4 light isnt flashing. good luck pimp.
