The 6 speed tranny from the CL-S should bolt up pretty painlessly. The biggest hurdle is the issues with the ECU working correctly. If you get a standalone Engine Management Unit like the AEM one, and you have quality people working on it then you should be fine, but it would probably take some considerable down time to work out all the kinks.
I believe two people on v6performance.net have performed the swap, and like I told you they both had issues with the ECU.
Also, jimmyrecluse (that's one of their names), has a comptech supercharger as well as the 6 speed tranny, but the clutch burned out in like 7 months so you might want to get the tranny rebuilt or something before you put it in.
I know you said money is not an issue but in case you haven't guessed already. This is an expensive endeavor.
It might be a better value just to swap the entire engine along with the tranny from a CL-S.

Yeah most people say it's more cost-effective in the long run to use the same money to put a nice down payment on an 03 CLS6spd instead of put a manual in our cars.

ENGAGE MY VTEC BABY!!!!!!
its been done to convert to the 6spd swap from the CL-S but its cost the guy like over 6500 to do teh conversion for just the conversion alone and then he ran into problems after that with the ECU not liking the new tranny and was idling funny

I say "DO IT"!
Nobody has ever done this to a CL. You can be teh first.
Like DanMan said I would set aside at least 10k for the whole work.
I would rather like to see you do an engine swap using a CL-S
engine and of course with the 6spd tranny. Our CL's are lighter so
I believe that you would be sooo quick and fools will underestimate you
to find themselves left behind. Once again "DO IT"!

you would get better results if you just did a full engine swap from a CLS-6. You could get the J32, 6 sp. tranny, nd engine ECU and have it installed for a negligable amount more than the tranny swap. You might even be able to do it for less than the tranny swap alone, because all those little kinks that need to be ironed out add up in cost. I'm pretty sure I saw someone got a 6.sp J32 w/ ECU for like $5k, so add maybe $2k for install and that's an easy $7k for install, plus little kinks here and htere, but there definitely won't be as many problems as with the tranny swap alone.

than common sense. He is also the king of the give them money not time club. The three teenagers have: 2004 Peugeout 206 hard top convertible (19 year old), 2004 Volvo 40 (18) and a 2005 Mini (16 year old daughter)
So I would not doubt him. I went to Beverly High Della Barris had a new 924 which was madly expensive for what it was in 1978.

Cruising in ATL!!
Yeah, true some kids can have 'nice' 'exotic' cars... but he goes out and trade it for 1st generation CL.. you got to wonder how much of this story is accurate... imo.. this is complete BS and even if he has the money to convert his CL, just donate that to a charity or something and save urself a lot of trouble..

how handsome I am
hey man, I'll give you mad props. You swap that 5/6 spd into your 3.0 - be unique... that's what its all about. Dont let these guys tell you "but you can put that money towards xx car.." bah. fuck that, start showing some pride in your cars guys, its a 6/7/8 year old car, but its still your CL damnit.

I love my 3.0CL, it's a Great car, but
if I had a DB7 to trade in I thinkI could find a car that is much faster and much nicer to love!
it sounds like BS to me too
