Apexi V-AFC
hey guys....I'm gonna schedule tomorrow a day to go dyno my car with the VAFC.
I just need to get it hooked up beforehand so I can save a few bucks to spend more on the dyno.
I've tried looking up on v6p.net and here, I'm confused as to what wiring diagram to use for the J30. I've seen recommendations for H-a7, W-something-2 and W-something-4.
????????
Also if you guys who have the vafc on your 3.0, could you give me some basic settings to put into the vafc until I take it to the dyno? I'm not sure what the settings should be for initial setup or so.....

i used the diagram for the odyssey but then again mine is a 97 and your a 98 i think the wiring is a bit different
i would get it installed professioanlly, i did and i say when it comes to messing with the brain of the car, leave it to the professionals, if you fuck up then your fucked out of a ECU, ECU or like 80 bucks to install it professionally and not have to worry about install directions
hit me up on aol im and i can try to walk you though i have teh vafc1

I wasnt to have the diagram with me if I decide to take it to a shop, as well. I don't wanna take the chance of paying a shop to do it and they also don't know which diagram to use. or use the wrong one.

the diagram is fucked any way you look at it. basicly you need to get a helms pinout for your ecu because its obvious they paid some guy who speaks broken engrish to translate everything. Now if i remember correctly the two power wires hook together to the switched ecu power. same with the two grounds. (going to ecu ground that is). rpm goes to the tach signal wire, vtec wire gets cut, each end goes to a wire on the vafc and the map sensor wire gets cut with each end going to respective wire on the vafc. Throttle wire goes to throttle wire. that should be it. then just remember to set the car to 6 cylnders and 6 in 6 out. dont mess with any other settings untill you get it to the dyno.
