Anyone in RI lately?
I was walking to my class last night downtown, and i happened to see a black CL, New York plate, with tint and chrome rims. I know its a VERY VAGUE description, but maybe one of you will read this and know who it was.
I've seen two black CL's in the Providence area in the past. One is a 2002 CL-S and works in East Providence. The other one was a brandy new 03 CL. Don't know if was a Type-S (driven by a female though). I saw her on 95 South on my way to work.
No New York plates though.
No New York plates though.
Hey what part of MA are you from? I am in scituate, 15 min from providence. I saw a first gen though with the NY plates. I have seen one before in my town with NY plates too, black, tint, chrome rims and red calipers. Maybe that is the same person?

Now that I read you info I've know that I've seen your car. Actually I heard it looked out the window of one of my classes and saw you driving down upper college road, but all I saw was the DOHC decal and the exhaust. Nice car!! I just started modifying mine and it's pretty slow, maybe more work during the summer.

HEY THE FIRST BOARD MEMBER TO NOTICE ME! I go to URI as well, you live on campus or do u have a house? What grade ar you in, where in RI d u live There are quite a few CL's on campus, but not really modded, mine is prob one of the nicest in RI. Theres some kid i see in prov. with a black, 18 chrome 5 stars, no tint and a ghetto coilover drop. There was one kid in like th Newport/ portsmouth area who had a primrose with tv's in the headrests, ps2 and rims. He thought it was a SHOW car like most uneducated modifiers, but it was far from it. He sold it though, and i don't know where it ended up. BTW, i am the only one i RI with a modded milano red cl. Let me know what color urs is, i will look for it on the campus. Im a sophmore, but i am always parked in the freshmen resident lot, god i hate the parking on our campus!
I'm a senior, and I live off campus. I'm orginally from Cranston though. Yeah, the Cl's I was talking about that I've seen have
exhaust, clear bumper lenses, system, tint. I guess I could say that their not stock. I just got my car in October, so I couldn't really do anything this winter because it's been so cold. However, I do have clear bumper lenses, an intake, and some pia bulbs for the turn signals and the parking lights sitting in my closet. I have my sub from my old car. I replaced all the speakers in my car and as soon as I get some money I will put an amp in.
When I bought my car I told myself I was going to keep it stock, becuase sometimes I get in a little over my head. But, now I have a list of things that I would like to do.
The Cl that you speak of, if it's black then it's the one I'm thinking of. The kid lives somewhere in Peacedale/Wakefield. My uncle owns a pizza joint over there and I used to work there. He has chrome rims and it is droped, and no badges.
I have an iced teal 99 2.3 cl. There's only 2 iced teal ones at URI, but both mine and the othe one has RI plates. I usually park mine in the commuter lot or at the end of flag road. I get to class late most of the time. Although, I won't be driving it it for a while, my parents are going away, and I'll have there 03 TL. Anyways, I have some questions about some stuff that you should be able to answer. I'll ask you when I have more time, because I'm at work right now.

Hey what a small world huh! Did you go to cranston east or west, or private? I went to LaSalle, and know people from everywhere in the state. My friend Michelle who goes to URI, lives in Butterfield, lives in Cranston, near Haruki's. She has a 99 2.3 white, tinted out i m prob gonna give her my clear bump lights when i get new ones, one is kinda cracked. Yeah there are some cl's on campus. Where's your house at, Im moving in to a house in Eastward look next year, Angell Rd. Good to see a fellow Rhody!
Yeah, I live off angell (Greenbrier) road. I went to Cranston East. Your friend prob. know's my younger sisters. I think I'm too old.
Anyways, how hard was it to get the clear lenses in. Just curious.
I want to make my bumper lenses like the integras, the whole thing lights up when you put the lights on. Someone said you can connect the positive wire from the paking light to the directional light and that should make both stay on.
A more difficult way would be to the get a harness of an old teg.

The install is very easy, 15-20 mins, one screw. I don't know about the lighting setup you want to do, but in theory it works. You have a ground already, and picking up the positive from the 194 wedge would work, if there is enough voltage going there in the first place. I dunno about the tef harness, i would stick to splicing. If not from the parking light, you could wire to the headlight power. The install would be the same way as those stupid washer led lights, just requires more power. Ask around on the board for a def answer. BTW, i was looking into renting out the house on 65 greenbriar, and if u dont mind me askin, whats ur last name?
As far as tint, Sunset Tint on Cranston St is the best in the state. If you see a good tint job, it was done by them. They use all high quality Llumar film, and leave virtually no bare areas around the edges of the glass. I had my car done for $200.00 there, and i love the job! Thats my fifth car from my family that has been tinted there. Mods, i do them myself, but if there is something too much for me, hasn't been anything yet, i go to Atomic Motorsports in Johnston. The guy is cool as shit, and a great mechanic.

Thanks for the info. I'll look these guys up!
Scituate, huh? I'm in Weymouth now but used to do alot of work in Scituate. Anyway, if you happen to be in Mass again you can get tinted at Ultimate Detail on 3A in Weymouth (I think there's one on rte 18 too) - they charged $180 for the legal limit and guarantee it against bubbles, cracks, etc. for life...
LEGAL LIMITS SUCK!!!! I have 15 & 20% tint on my car. If you can see through it, whats the point of having it at all. Thats my opinion anyway. Yeah, i live in Scituate, RI, everyone confuses it with Scituate MA for some reason. Sunset tint gives out that warranty as well, and puts whatever you want on your windows. They do awesome jobs with factory matching too. My mom's X5 & my dad's Escalade are both matched on the front windows, and you can barely tell the difference.
