Anyone planning to do a drop on their car?

Moderator: Please keep this in this forum for at least a day, Please? It partially belongs in the First Gen.

I'm starting classes on Wednesday at the University of Miami and Tuition is a bitch (I know that others also have the same problem). I owe a good 3K. I also just bought a set of ProKit Springs with a camber kit and Brand New KYB AGX shocks. However, hopes of upgrading my suspension and dropping my car must wait. I know everyone knows the cheapest prices out there so make me an offer. I paid $300 for the shocks and $150 for the springs and the camber kit, just to let everyone know. They're going to be here this week, so I wanted to be able to sell it promptly since they will be boxed and everything.

Thanks to everyone!

All 4 shocks and all four springs. The buyer must pay shipping though. PM me if you have any more questions.

The camber kit and springs as I was told before I purchased was on a 3.0CL that's why I bought it. They are plates though. I have a slight idea of how it works but not absolutely sure. I believe they reposition the shocks and by doing so adjust the camber.

I hope this helps. I'll have a complete idea once I receive the package. But do a search on yahoo or something and you'll find out all about it. That is, if you don't already know.

Thanks.

From the description it sounds as if the springs & camber kit are used.

Yes they are, I'm sorry if I hadn't made this clear. The springs and camber kit are used which means they are settled, and the shocks are brand new.

Update Folks: I just checked with my financial aid office and they are offerring me a subsidized loan so I think I just might do my drop and get a laptop on the side as well. I'll pay it back later, at least that's what we usually think. LOL!!!

I don't know, what do you folks think I should do? I have a camera and will take pics of my car when the sun is up, finally, but it has a pretty ugly gap with 17's and 205/40ZR17 tires.

However, if someone was really interested in buying then I won't dissappoint. PM me.

Thanks everyone!!!

Don't need camber on the prokit drop. If you put it, more than likely problems will develop.

I guess I'll drop my car. Sorry anyone who wanted to buy it. And thanks Got Rice? for the tip. However, since I had some minor frame bending, my front right tire already has 1.8 degrees negative camber and dropping it may add about another .2 degrees to it I think I need to double up on camber kits. The pivot type and the plates. The rear has excess positive camber and I figure a drop would correct it just perfectly. Planning to get it aligned since 3 centers refused to align because of the frame bend.

Thanks,
James
