Antenna Issues
I have a feeling this will get moved to AV but I thought I would get more feedback here.
I have an aftermarket head unit and recently it has been losing radio signals, usually it will tune into a station and play fine for about 5 seconds then it will be searching for the signal. This occurs on about half the stations, the rest play as usual. I thought the main antenna connection on the back of the unit was loose but i checked it and it was fine.
Is this likely a problem with the head unit or does anyone know of any other connections in the antenna wiring I could check?

You could buy a new AM/FM radio antenna for like $15-20 at walmart or any autopart store, and try wiring it right to the HU as a test. My friend did this on his trooper, because the split antenna was grounding out somewhere. Just a thought for a test to see if it's the HU or antenna/wiring
