I have had nothing but problems with my ABS system as well, the light continues to come on as well. But your problem sounds pretty bad, when you start your car, does your abs pump groan and overrun for a while, you will be able to hear and feel it.

yup it does the groaning thing and then it turns off after 30 seconds and the ABS light comes on. It doesnt do it when I fill up the resivoir, but the resivoir empties shortly and then it does it all over again. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, and somehow i got a acura service bulletin from June 29,1998 number 97-002.
Don't know how i got ahold of it, can't find a link to it online..

Brake fluid Leak from ABS modulator.

Symptom
Brake fluid is dripping from the left front corner of the car, and the ABS modulator is wet. If the resivoir is emty, the ABS light may also be on, and a Code 1 stored.

Corrective action
Remove, reinstall, and torque the plugs in the ABS modulator assembly.

Note: Use the 1997 2.2cl service manual for reference whem performing this procedure

Required materials
Brake assembly fluidL P/N 08798-9019

Sound like you?

Looks like i have a couple pages of the service manual too. No idea when i got this, I still havn't gotten to fixing the problem myself. I'll scan it as soon as i get my windows pc back.
