Alarm Systems

Ok, I was looking into Alarm systems and figured that others would also need some opinoins on the matter of Alarms~

Which alarms are the best/worst kind??? anybody have any recommendations on what has the pimpest features (remote start, windows roll up) or the best range?? Reliability?
Of course- where would you all recommend people go to get there shit installed/bought????

Thanks all - I'm sure any info anyone can provide for me and my other newb peeps to this board would be coo and useful...

I think mine was..

$350 - alarm + install (without remote start)
$40 - motion sensor proximity module
$20 - 1 year 'no questions asked' warranty on remote
$35 - AZ sales tax
-----------------
$450

I smashed the remote already once, so the extended warranty paid off. If your shop offers it, definitely get it. I'm adding on remote start soon ($100 I think), and windows eventually.

there's a way you can set that up so that if they break into the car no siren will go off. they think they're home free. but actually youre calling the cops, because you got the page on your remote. then they start the car and start backing out of the driveway. 15 sec later, you car totally shuts down. it breaks a fuse, and the car cannot be restarted. they're sitting there figuring what the hell went wrong when the cops pull up. . . yeah my hommie has it set up like that. plus i would add some kill switches that only you know where they are. that way, they might get in the car. but there's no way they're leaving with your car.

I don't know how anyone could get mine started ...chip in the key they need to start I think...plus kill switch in the alarm so you can't start it without resetting the alarm....

I like the sound of that silent alarm though...not a bad idea.
