alarm, dead battery, wtf?!?

WEll I was sitting in class today and I started getting text messages from my roommates saying my car alarm was going off. Well I couldn't do anything since i was in class. By the time I get home its chirping at like half volume, the sign of the dead battery.

so what happened, I was told that when it first went off that no one was near it, so did a slowly already dying battery (its the original Delco one) cause it to go off or what?

Well I gotta go get it jumped and the battery tested.

i kno that in my last car if the batt was low then the alarm would go off and pretty much just drain it .... i never figured out why it would stay on and keep going but it would drain the batt every time it happened

I think that when the battery starts dying the alarm goes off for whatever reason. The battery causes the alarm to go off, not the other way around.
