Aftermarket alarm replacement
So... I have a "cheapo black box" alarm that was already installed in my CL before I got it.
I am down to 1 half broken remote, and I was wondering, could I just buy one of those cheapo alarms on ebay and use the current alarm wiring in my car to just plug it in and call it good?
Do most cheap alarms use the same wiring plugs and such?
Thanks,
-John

Not usually they don't.
The only bonus to you at this point is that the wires are already tapped and ran to that box. If you know how to use a multimeter, I could help you out putting another one in.
If I were you I would spend the money for a DEI brand alarm such as viper, python, clifford.
