Is AEM short ram for 100.oo cheap

I was just browsing on ebay and saw some for around $80 + shipping. One of the sellers had real bad feedback but one had ~250 positives and no negs. These were real AEMs, not the $25 junk. I woulda bought one if I had the cash.

AEM uses a K&N filter... other than that, I dont see any difference in them and my $25 generic short-ram intake (other than the fact that I had to weld a mounting bracket on mine).
Oh wow, they say AEM on the tube... whooptiedoo! I'd rather it didnt say anything to keep with clean styling and clean engine compartment.

the Aem pipe finish is supposed to block out more heat then any other. As far as i know, aem uses K&N filters.
I almost got the K&N typhoon. I have never heard any complaints about it and since everyone has aem i thought i would try it out but i ended up getting my short ram for $108....so.....
