inside the capsule it can get up to 1400F. if u actually touched the outside of capsule its prob no more than 400 becuase our housings would melt at that temperature.

Soo do all OEM cars (Audi, Lexus, BMW....etc.) have the same K temp? between 4100 & 4300?? cuz all the different makes look different. Like acuras and benz look more blue and BMW and audi look purple....

(do to get a color like the Acuras and BMWs and Audi's ect. i should get an HID setup close to 4100 or 4300?

all oem are 4100k. generally bmw and mercedes use philips and audi and acura use osram. osrams are more purple and philips more blue. it depends on the headlamp xenon projector and the cutoff plate inside that determine the color. also cars like the is300 and 2nd gen cl have a xenon reflector setup. the shape effects color. after about 100hours the bulbs colorshift to more like 4300k.

fyi audi purposely curve the cutoff plate in to make it appear more purple to oncomming traffic. it helps make the cars stand out at night.
