Acura CL Fog Lights

I recently purchased a 97 3.0 CL. I have noticed that the only option it did not come with was the fog light package. I have already ordered the Fog light switch from Delray Acura that goes to the right of the automatic shift knob, the on/off switch. I was wandering how I go about finding the OEM fog lights, or if the universal fog lights will connect to the oem switch I have just purchased. Thanks.

You can use the oem fog light switch with aftermarket, actually I've been told that the wiring is already there from the factory, but have never verified it since mine came stock with fogs. However I have replaced my oem fogs with after market projector fogs and used the oem wires. If you wanna investigate to see if the fog wires are there, do that first, you may need the relay though. Otherwise, pretty much all universal fogs come with full wiring kits, so you could splice the switch pretty easily into one of those setups as well.

In the headlight assembly? No, you have high beam, low beam, and marker light

the circular lights on the BOTTOM GRILL are the foglights.
just so you're not confused.

^^ x100 he may be 12 or 21 but we all started somewhere. and by we all, i mean everybody else but me NOOBS!!!! I popped out a$$hole and elbows doing motor swaps.

jk but i always vomit a little in my mouth when i see the stock fogs. looks completely out of place with all the rectangularish lights and ROUND foglights. very hard to integrate fogs anywhere on our cars.

grounded customs to answer your question, why would acura have wired it up but not included the fogs. well its called the assembly line and henry ford invented it.

It shouldn't have the fog light switch if the fogs aren't there. The wiring being there is one thing, a switch to nothing is something completely different.

not to confuse you but some people made their high beams into "fog lights", maybe thats what he was thinking of. Possibly the previous owner had aftermarket fogs and used the stock switch. Is you bumper hacked up at all in the lower grill area?

the car side of the harness is there wether you have oem fogs or not. all you have to do is the run the switch lead into the cabin and tap into the proper wire on the harness.

i still like mine better BlackAck :p

ok, chill dude. yes there are factory fogs as you described. but since you own a 97 cl, you should already know that the inner light is your highbeam. you said you have an oem fog switch, does it do anything?

this is the internet, if you get offended, step away from the keyboard and stop trying to e-thug people. all it does is show you have the same level (or lower) of maturity the other guy does.

1999 OEM Fog Lights Connectors

Just purchased a 1999 CL 3.0. Had the dealer remove the fog lights because they were damaged. The car has the OEM switch and wiring. How can I find replacement lights that will connect to the OEM wiring?

Unfortunately no. Can I cut off the connector and splice the new ones on?

My problem is the grill was cut for the previous lights - the center rib was removed and the top was cut out (I think to make room for the previous round lights). The previous lights were attached to the side - can't attach to the top or bottom. Any suggestions? I can't figure out how to post pictures.
