My friend just got a 98 v6 accord 4 door.
Its got leather and everything

I was realy suprized at the interior

I think it is MUCH better than the interior of our cars
expecialy the 97's which is what i have

It has tons more storage and usefull places to put junk
plus i like how the radio and everything is in the dash.

the trunk is HUGE compared to ours too

So why did we get the old accord interior ???


Do the accords have the same problems with the windows as we do?

Thinking about getting a 98 4cly 5 speed 2 door (so i can turbo it)
but now i dont know to go CL or accord

knock on wood, i have not run into any problem with window regulators, tranny problems or any others to make matters worse, the only problem i have is ground noise like a mother fucker and skweeking brakes

Only problem ive had that wasent my fault would be the windows

Dude, everyone has Accords...ok, lotsa people have CL's too but what looks better? i mean "yea i have a honda"....or...."yea i own an Acura" <~~ sounds better, nicer, fancyer, and just....u own an Acura...down step down to the dark side....i mean i agree my 97's interior was crap but i put a wood dash kit and everything looks soooooooo much better...u just have to work with it...thats all....trust me....CL's allll the way!!!

Accords have
bigger trunks that means more room for stuff after my system
more places to put stuff inside
more aftermarket that requires no modification

CL's have
better styling outside
better name (ACURA)
the trunk makes very little rattling from bass

 

i actually don't think our interiors are that bad. I kind of like the simplistic design. I think it looks classier

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought this. Why couldn't Acura have come out with a 97 CL that was based on the "yet to be released" 98 Accord instead of lagging behind with old Accord styling? I find it odd how the CL being the "luxury" Accord, for lack of a better description, gets the prior generation Accord body and interior instead of being the test bed for future Accords. My 98 interior looks "dated" when compared to the "new" 98 Accord interior. I can't believe it took until 2000 for the CL to get the "new" Accord body and interior. Sorry for the rant, not cracking on the CL, I still like them, but it seems Honda/Acura forgot about our 1st gen cars.

the 97 cl was an ACURA first. there was no cl before that. the 98+ cls got more goodies, but they basically just stole an accord and made it nicer to start. that saved massive amount of $$$$ look at a 97 cord and a 97 cl. which would u choose. a premium 98 or 99 cl has a bad ass interior, heated seats, etc.

 

If you had an accord it would rattle a lot more. The lisence plate is on the trunk of an accord.

to make your car quiter use dynamat and you can tighten up the trunk.

move the latch down just a little for the trunk.
makes it harder to close but a lot less vibrations
