ABS Problems

So... havent been using the CL for a while here, been riding my bike. Got in it and i hear this wierd humming eminating from the front right of the car. Its the ABS pump. Runs real loud for about 15 seconds or so then shuts off and the ABS light comes on. My girlfriend has been driving the car and I asked her about it and she said yeah its been doing that for a while. I have no idea where to start looking at this thing. I looked in the brake resivor next to the ABS pump and the level looks like its ok... where do I look next? Please help me cuz have you ever noticed how shitty CL brakes are without ABS? Its a 97 3.0 if that is any help. Thanks a bunch.

I'm having the same problem, the sound is your ABS pump, if it just sounds for a few seconds, you're ok. If it runs for a long time, then it's an indication that your pump is going. Mine has been doing this, and I've been trying to get the dealership to fix it, however the AntiLock Test comes up fine, after I had a speed sensor replaced. My guess is that if your pump isn't dead, then it's a speed sensor, because that can cause your ABS light to trigger. Otherwise, your error messages are just stacked up and need cleared. Most likely it's a speed sensor, or another sensor triggering the ABS light. I've replaced my axel, and almost every ABS sensor trying to stop my light. Take it to somewhere that can link to your comp and tell you what error # it is pulling. Most likely it's a sensor
