i looked @ the auction for the kit. you choose

What is the difference between D2R and D2S?

# D2S HID bulbs are designed for cars equipped with projector headlights.
# D2R HID bulbs are designed for reflectors based headlamps.

*Remember to specify(D2R or D2S) in your payment.

I bought my 8000K from someone on this site. They were plug & play. Very easy to install. However they were bright ass blue. I got pulled over in less then a month and passed them on to a guy on acurazine. Damn local cops have nothing to do.......

the thing is, dont kits pretty much have the same beam pattern? i.e. they'll throw out tons of glare too? Our housings are made for halogens so i'm thinking no matter what bulb I put in there, its going to glare like a bitch. I was just figuring might as well get a good quality ballast and bulb as opposed to getting the cheaper kits that are prone to burn out.

the 9006 HID bulbs have the gas part of the bulb that actually lights up in the same place the filament is in a regular halogen bulb, so i dont see how the beam pattern will be altered. I have a 9006 HID kit and the beam pattern is the same, just a looot brighter, def. one of my favorite mods

Oh yeah, from far away, my 6000K HID's look identical to 2nd gen CL HID's for those who were wondering

"The HID bulbs have been professionally rebased by precision MACHINES. The filaments of 9006 halogen bulbs and the arcs of the Rebased HID bulbs are aligned. This means the rebased bulbs would sit at the FOCUS POINTS of all 9006 headlight housings and maximize light output."

taken from an ebay auction for rebased 9006 d2s bulbs

I've got a 8000 kit and while it is blue, I haven't been pulled yet. Mostly because Tacoma cops have too many robberies and murders to attend to.

I got pulled last week for no front license plate. Of all the things.

The brand is Timerivers on Ebay and the corners are super white LED's from autolumination. The beam is a bit sloppy. It goes everywhere but still lights up the road just fine.
