Listen, i’ve got a 97 CL 3.0 and i would love to some day turbo my baby. The OGs on this page generally stay away from engine mods because our car is not a racecar and is not the most “moddable” out there. However it is doable and if youd enjoy it then have fun! These are the things to keep in mind: first and foremost your transmission is going to hate you. 75% chance you blow it in 1-2 years unless you really baby it and keep up with the maintenance. Second thing is you will obviously need a tune. I have not the expertise on how to advise you on that matter but would love to know for my own reasons.. lol. Third thing is look, the engine really should be worked on if youre going to be adding that kind of power. Anyway, i say do that thing. There arent many turbo CLs out there and the reasons for that are above, but id love to turbo mine but shes a daily and if others (you) are willing to do the heavy lifting and enter into little known territory i commend you for it.
