97 CL clutch question
I have a 97 CL. 2.2 5 speed manual. I have had this ride for two years. Just turned over 200,000 yesterday. The clutch has started slipping in 3rd , 4th , and 5th gears at higher rpms. 1st and 2nd are just fine. When I purchased the car , The previous owner told me. He had a mechanic adjust the clutch to be " loose " when it was in for a repair. I recall him saying then that the clutch was replaced. Now we all know how that can play out buying a used car. My question. Is there a adjustment I can make that can give me a little more grip on the high end rpms ? Or am I screwed and looking at a expensive clutch replacement ?
