97-99 CL body kit for sale!!!

we are currently building 2 more body kits for cls (casper and pimpin2.2) and one of them is similar to mine, so its gotsa go. we are doing wide body, full light conversions, lambo doors, and lots of sheet metal work. you guys wont recognize it.

anyway, i am selling my kit. it is the black widow deal with type w skirts, with much modification. here is a pic, if anyone else has pics please post them.

$3600, no less no more. most shops charge $3500 anyway and they still suck. my work is perfect, plus there is no downtime involved. they bolt right up. so kiss my ass if you think that is too much. i know who the serious people are on this board and i know i can sell this for more if i wanted.

THe effort and time that went into that kit is really nice. However, it looks like a scoop on a bulldozer so I am out.

Thanks for the much appreciated contributions.

Looks great, i love the paint selection and work seems to be flawless. IMO, i think the veilside kit lines match our car better than the widow, makes the CL look like an accord. What do you use for a turn signal on that kit? Nice to see a good looking kit on a CL though, i wish i could cough up the money for it.

Hey i think what you did with that Cl is original and its all about want you want to do with it but in my opinon i think the whole black widow thing is soooooooo played out. Why bring that to our CLs? Thats just my opinion about it but hey if anyone wants to pay 3500 for a snow plow go right ahead.

Yeah, you just can't make peeps happy these days.

I think Ross did an EXCELLENT job on the car. If I would have done one thing different, it would have been to keep the upper lines of the rear bumper in place. Like he did on the front.

What's the progress on yours? Bet it's going to look sweet!

Why would anyone buy that?
After someone buys it for $3600 they still gotta paint it! That'll cost close to $500 itself. $4100 for a kit? No thanks!

Wonder how much it would be to ship it too?

all you people that like to bitch all the time.

go do some research and find a kit that is comparable to this. try to find a kit on any car that is as flawless with the way the fibergalss is layed.

if you think 4k for a kit is a lot of money, then you must be used to all the erebuni and shogun pieces of shit that you can buy from e-bay.

get real guys. it's out of you league so just admit it.

It's a shame that Ross is getting so much shit for offering this kit. :thumbsdn:

There's a real history on this board of people wanting a kit, not being able to find one, then when one is offered (a customized one at that), people back out, aren't head from again, or criticize the hell out of it!

If it's not in your taste, so be it! Let it go!

Why give him shit???

You guys are so full of jelousy and hate its not even funny.. all he is doing is offering the body kit for all of you who do nothing but complain cause there is no body kit for our cars.. and you complain?.. i dont get it.. besides his car looks better than most of your cars either.. i bet if any of you had the money use would buy it.. but since use dont you talk shit..

by the way i am the one that has the kit getting put on by him too.. similar to the black widow.. so all you who wana talk shit.. lets see what you got better..

i dont mean to sound like a dick but why does everyone have to talk shit all the time.. all he asked is if someone would like to buy it thats all

You know how people are. They want stuff cheap.

I've never had the desire for a kit on my CL. So, I could buy it, but I'm just not interested.

But, what I am interested in is how your guy's kits are coming along!!

I just thought that I would say that Ross, you have been a big inspiration to me about my car. You are the one and only person that got me into modding a cl, you actually made me think htat it was a good idea. You are the man!!!

to make it fit, im sure he would cut the moldings and sand them down to match the lines of the quarter panels.

4k is a lot of money, but it's well worth it. the finish is flawless. trust me, i have seen it in person.

THIS is why people are bashing him. Who talks this way to potential customers? Lighten up a bit and this thread would probably have taken a whole different direction.

BTW, I think it looks cool and the craftsmanship supurb.

I stated my apreciation for the work and contributions. I just don't dig the design. THe price is on par with most decent kits, and is custom to our cars.

My point was thanks, but not for me.

Thank you all for turning this into an arguement.

well well well... how to take it off... he is planning on a whole new restoration of his CL... febder changes, etc etc etc... The kit WILL BE CUT OFF... yes thats right CUT OFF but he's got more tools in that shop that you would never know the difference!!! Not only that but seeing what it looks like... order one that is NOT on his car!!!!!

See i wanted a body kit and I $$$ for one.. yes it costs $$$ but I will be what 1 of 5 with it.. and you guys will still say I WANT ONE I WANT ONE, WHY DOES NO BODY MAKE ONE YET... its because you wont pay for one.... tahts why.. things are not free especially when they need to be created!!!! think about it!

3600 is a lot. then u have to pay shipping and paint. its fiberglass too it's not that strong. plus its used. u can pay about the same thing but be out of a car for about 1-3 months and get a brand new one.

at the shop i charge $800 a bumper to mold them together. that will include all supplies, labor, and i will put the bumpers in a sealer/primer for you so you can just scuff and paint when you want. plus you are looking at the cost of the feels kit. i dont think i carry the feels kit so if you want to grab one go ahead, but i will look.

may is open, and i need a month. dont need your car, but i do need the feels kit and the stock bumpers. if you want to keep your stock bumpers, i can get you the cl stock bumpers (both) for around $450. give me a call if you are serious.

Ross, good luck on selling the kit....i know you put a lot of time and money into it. No offense to you at all, but in my opinion i wouldn't pay that much for a kit for a car i drive daily....that kit wouldn't last the streets of baltimore more than a month, tops. If it was my show car, thats a totally different story however. Anything new with the performance aspect of the car bro???

Damn Ross.. sorry to see the kit go.. but I'm sure the car will be even more pimp then before.

I've seen this car in person... the work is just flawless on it. $3600 is not a lot of money for a custom molded kit. Look around... search.... you'll see. I mean hell, the guys in Car Talk who have had the TL kit fit onto their car were spending between $2500-$3000 and there's really not much to that kit.
