Just wondering who on here did a 9005 conversion and what bulbs you used. One of my ballasts got fucked up and i dont feel like paying for new ones, so im going back to 9005. I was looking at either PIAA cuz of what i found in the searchs, but what about Nokya stage II artic white/purples

by the way, selling professionally rebased 9006 Philips D2r 5000K bulbs in the black market....if anyone wants them pm me

I have NOKYA Arctic whites. Not terribly expensive. I paid $26.98 for a box of two. They work great. Look good too. If you get them, you will also want the side-makers as well. Makes the look that much better. I can't remember the name of those bulbs, but they had Japanese writting all over the package. The blue tubes at O'Reilley's (Silverstar) aren't the same... DON"T BUY THEM OR YOUR LIGHTS WILL LOOK DUMB.

good. luck, and you were talking about HIDs, not modified 9006 tubes, right? HIDs are very pricy and the balast...$$$ I don't even want to go there. Anyway, you will like the NOKYA tubes if you like non-xenon HID-like results.

Oh, I forgot, the dif between 9005 and 9006 is the connection angle, not the slots. They have the same slots, but the 9006 angle down for harness clearance. 9005 stick straight out...

9005 is a great cheap upgrade instead of buying expesnive 9006 bulbs that are bad quality. they will not compare to even the worst of xenon kits though.

ya, i had HID's in up until today, but one of the ballasts is all fucked up and doesnt work for some reason. I know the quality of 9005 vs. HID will be very very low, but im also very very low on money
