Damn, I thought that the previous owner of my 1999 CL had pulled out the stiching and made that big hole in the center. I didnt know it was there for a purpose.

OK i checked with my friend. IT DOES NOT WORK FOR 98+. It is only for the listed cars I posted before, in our case 97+ CLs. I guess if u can "mis-lead" a dealer into doing it, it an another topic. Oh well.
