3.0CL Stock Muffler - Tone
Got a question...
Anyone have a (stock) exhaust video/sound clip of a 3.0CL.
If I remember correctly, this was one of my favorite stock exhaust tones when the CL first came out. Haven't heard a 3.0Cl in forever, so I've forgotten exactly what it sounds like and how loud (quiet) they are.
From what I remember they were quiet, but still more audible than a CL-S or even current TL stock system. And they had a G35'ish moan during light to moderate acceleration.
Another question for anyone with a stock 3.0CL... Does the exhaust note die out after 4K rpms like the j30a Accords with exhausts?

I don't have a clip but I definitely know what your speaking of! It's bubbly like a G35's yet subtle enough to still remain with a sophisticated touch. Great exhaust sound indeed and especially when that VTech shit be kicking in.

I seriously need to upload that video I have from the Pittsburgh meet. It compares a stock exhaust w/intake, a Magnaflow exhaust, and another magnaflow exhaust with no resonator and an intake. Maybe I'll start on that now...

First CL - ZeroCL. Magnaflow 14805. 2nd CL- 97BlackAck. Stock exhaust, CAI. 3rd CL -Gates Magnaflow 14805, no resonator, ebay SRI.
