3.0 headunit install help please (bypassing bose amp)

Happy holidays all!

how do you bypass the craptacular bose amp in the trunk so i can hear my new headunit?

i have the wire harness installed on the pioneer 7600mp i got for xmas and made sure all the connections are correct. the pioneer powers up and i can tell sound is going through because the music meter graphic is moving...but there is no sound coming out the speakers. i hope it's a relatively easy fix. thanks in advance!

Hey wakeboardfusion, I think your wiring info is incorrect. i found scans of the actual amp wiring diagram here.

image #4 and #5 show exactly which wires are to be patched together:

Right Rear +
BLU connects to RED/YEL

Right Front +
YEL connects to RED/GRN

Left Rear +
RED connects to BLU/YEL

Left Front +
WHT connects to BLU/GRN

Right Rear -
BLK connects to BRN/WHT

Right Front -
BRN connects to BRN/BLK

Left Rear -
GRN connects to GRY/WHT

Left Front -
ORN connects to GRY/BLK

DONE!

I just connected them this way and it works perfectly! My new Pioneer is pumpin'!

so whats up, you just clip the wires and crimp/sodder them together in the trunk?

i'm in the middle of putting down 70 square feet of dynamat and i have an alpine 9835, just waiting for the w7 to arrive, and the alpine is still running through th bose amp

I actually got the same deck 7600MP and re-did all the wiring(for new speakers)
, was a relatively easy process and it all sounds great.

do you just disconnect the amp in the rear, cut the harnesses off and splice them together?

i just got done putting in 63 squarefeet of dynomat in the trunk of my 98, i have no idea how it took that much, but there is no bare metal showing......BRING on the W7

can you run a remote lead for an amp, off the bose amp?

i just started running my own remote lead, so i cut the harness to tap in (behind the head unit) and now the stock bose amp wont work.

look like you can tap into the yellow/white wire from the diagrams above, is that correct?

basically what i'm asking is can you use the yellow/white wire from the head unit, as a remote lead for an aftermarket amp, if i am going to bypass the bose amp?

sorry for so many posts, i dont see an edit button.

I replaced the factory bose hu with a good high power alpine and was amazed at the difference - did NOT replace speakers (bose). sounds pfg. at first I got no sound but good old crutchfield directed me to the suspect wire (blue I believe) and she fired right up.

btw who else makes a good rotary-volume-knob hu?

....

Not sure what you are talking about but, whenever i got my alpine, i had to get a sound convertor from the audio store..... i was told that all bose speakers and amps need a convertor for the sound to go through... it cost around 70 bucks... The wires from the wire harness goes through it and the cd player harness wires go through it too...

Or you can just try to exchange the blue wire with the blue negative...

stretch....look into an alpine for for rotary knob head units. this is the second one i've had (9835)

Fresh....a sound inverter? i have no idea what your talkn about.

The more i think about it, its gonna be sooooooo easy to put in a 4 channel amp in the trunk because the speaker wires are already ran to the trunk....previously hooked up to the bose amp!

::begins looking for a jl 300/4::
