2nd Time my studds broke!!! MAAD!!

At least my wheel didn't fall off while i was driving like the last time! Today I was rotating my tires, and when I was taking off the second lug nut, the stud snapped! It was on the same exact wheel that fell off while i was driving 4 months ago. Last time they charged me $300 and said they had to replace the whole hub When i got it back, it was the same hub! They had charged me $300 just to redrill 3 studds. And today when i took it in with one broken they tried to charge me. I raised hell and told them that i wanted my $300 back from last time then, since i was lied to about the hub needing to be replaced. They finally gave in and fixed it for free!!

I'm still really pissed that I paid $300 to fix 4 F***ing studs last time. I could have had that done at any shop for like $50. Oh well.

Also has anyone heard of a plastic centering piece that you're supposed to buy with aftermarket wheels?? They said thats why my studs keep snapping, because i need this piece. I've never even heard of it! Has anyone else?? Or does anyone have some type of centering adapter to keep the lugs/studs in place?? I can't believe this BS!!

the centering piece isn't needed on alot of wheels. But essentially what it does is give more contact to the hub and the wheel

yeah, thats what they said, wish they would have told me that last time!

Oh well. I don't even think my wheels really need that piece, the first time they broke was just because I didn't tighten the lugs good enough, and this time I was just taking it off and it must have just been really week.

That ring helps keep down vibration to the hub too.

That ring is only needed for the front rims i think. I only have them for the front.
