is this a shady looking auction?

i'm looking to throw these on in the spring time.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

any one missing the window track piece on their window? I dont know exactly the part number,

but there is a part of the door when u look at it from the outside, if this piece is missing,

you can see screws. I'll snap a foto one of these evenings.

This is the same guy selling the WW lips for 189 and free shipping. I emailed him on monday and no response as of yet. His feedback seems to be ok. Try sending him a message, see if you get lucky. Alot of his feedbacks said the item wasnt even in stock, so make sure of that first.

I know, it seems these are the dark ages of the first gen. I feel like I found this place way too late in the game, and Ive have my car for 3 years now. Mostly everyone above has moved on to a different car (vxcl) or lost their car to tragedy (dust).

with that many sales i wouldnt be worried about it. however i bet hes one of those sellers that doesn not have a wharehouse full of parts so he orders them and i bet it can take time to get your item. especially if they come from japan.

peace

yea hi im here
i would guess that you get the one for 94-97 accord. I think basic is just height adj, no settings for dampning/stiffness, etc. Last time i heard there are no applications that are EDFC compatible for our cars. The tein guys are working on it or something.

oh and btw, thanks for considering me one of the "big name guys" that respond to everything...or something

so, EDFC isn't compatable with our car? i dont get it, if the 94-97 SS coils

fit our car, then why shouldnt the EDFC for the 94-97 accord apply to the cl ?

thats rediculous, its gotta be applicable, anyone have any idea why it wouldnt be?

You want the ss's trust me. Many of my friends that went with the basics, are hurting now because the ride is too stiff and bouncy. They released the pillowball mounts for the accord, so now the edfc is compatible.

im waiting to do mine all at once so i only have to get my alignment, camber, etc done only once.

heres my explanation. shocks and spring perform 2 different functions. shocks absorb bumbs and springs make the car rebound upwards.
its going to be stiffer if you dont get shorter shocks. shocks dont have the ability to rebound on their own so you need the springs to do that for them. if the springs are too short to allow the shocks to extend fully, then the shocks wont be able to compress(bc they are already compressed) to absorb bumps, potholes, etc. basically it makes them like solid rods instead of shocks. teins are so expensive bc they are springs and shocks in one. if you dont get teins, get some adjustable shocks and you should be fine. but either way the cost will be close to the same.

one upside to stiffer shocks is that it cuts down on body roll when cornering at high speeds. for those who dont know what body roll is; its when, for example, making a hard left turn and the right side of the car "sinks" down bringing weight off of the left tire therefore losing some traction and then in turn causing oversteer(its a chain reaction i know it sucks). stiffer shocks keep the right (or left depending on turning direction) side from sinkin down as much keeping weight more evenly distributed b/w the left and right wheels. combining stiff shocks with a strut tower brace and lower ride height would make the CL EXTREMELY nimble when cornering, but would sacrifice ride comfort dramaticly. so whichever youre after, go for it. hope this helps.
