i have a 98 2.3 cl -first ? i have is that my brake lamp light comes on when i start my car but my brake lights work, anyone else have this problem ?

next ? is my car is an automatic , is it worth buying an intake ? thanks for your help.....

 

Check your brake fluid.

It's not really worth buying just an intake on a 4 cyl auto.

 

Yeah, I got a K&N filter, it just marginal performance, get very little extra pull from it, (the sound is a bit louder and deeper but only at WOT) gas mileage seems to be the same. Need to put on a whole other bunch of crap to make it go zoom zoom.

 

does the brake light go out after a couple seconds?

 

the light for your brake light goes one or the emergency brake light?

 

I have kind of a similar probelm on my 97. The "Brake Lamp" warning comes on at times, and when i inspect the brake lights they are working, and other times one is out. But I have yet to replace that bulb and at tiems it works and others it doesn't. I'm in the process of replacing the bulb and "buffing" up the metal connections in the plug, damn corrosion.

 

yea on a 2.3 auto you gotta get intake/ headers/ exhaust but that will prolly ojnly give you like 15hp if that much and then a 75 shot will be necessary!

 

yea i'm thinknig about trading my car in for a 5spd or a 3.0 , do u think i would get ripped off doing that ? i have only had my car for 2 months its a 98 2.3 cl premium with 58k miles
