2 layers of tint.

Alright, so basically my window reg died about 2 months ago and I didnt replace til about a month or whatever ago. When they put the new one in, it went against my window and scratched up my driver side window tint. So I had to get it stripped and retinted. That cost me like $35. Than I asked to get another layer of 25% on the rear windshield. So he did that and together it was only $60 so i was like whatever, thats pretty cheap compared to the other quotes I got just to get it stripped. One place wanted to charge me 40 just to get the driver side tint off. ha! But oh well, i got the rear window tinted over so now there are two layers of 25% My guess is that its now about 5% tint. Its dark as shit. I stick an all white cup in the rear window and couldnt see it from not that far away. I also took some pics today after she was washed. I'm pleased with it. It's dark as shit at night. Now to get tail light tint and i'll be set..oh..and a drop.

I always wanted to do that all the way around with single 25% on the front... Still may, i dunno. Driving at night is gonna be a bitch for you.

Actually, it hasnt been that bad. I havent really had a problem yet. Then again, ive only driven 2 nights with it on but if a cars behind me I can still see the lights. The main reason why i added the 2nd layer was because trucks and suvs are so high up that they would directly shine right into my car to the point where it was so annoying/blinding. So I was fed up with it and got them darker. Now they dim the lights a lot better and I have no complaints.

Get tint on both sides, leave the back windshield clear. I've seen it done before and usually looks pretty good. 5% on both sides looks the best though that way, no matter how much light is getting in it doesnt effect that much.

Now, remember, the camera doesnt pick up the light as much as the eye does. I can see more with my eyes than what the camera picks up. Especially in that close up pic. It is really hard to see in depending on the lighting and where you are at, whats around you, etc. Keep in mind, my side windows are still pretty light. 30% up front 25% on the back windows than the double 25% on the back windshield.

I was going to put 5% over the already 25% on the back but that would of been straight black vinyl, haha. Im glad I didnt do that. I got the look i wanted though and so far i havent had any cars blind me at night.

At night, if you turn the lights on inside, you can see in very easily. So if I do ever get pulled over at night, thats what i plan on doing, turning all the lights on so the cops dont have to call back up and blah blah...because ive heard that its been done before because of dark windows. Then again, at night, all cars look pretty much tinted.

lucky us, PA doesnt have a legal limit for the back windows, only front 2 windows and front windshield.

yeah, but you still get shit for it. Since theres no law, some of the police kind of make up their own law. Then again, if they want to pull you over, they're going to find a way no matter what.

at both of our pictures being on a slant.

naw, i was sick the whole day and i took it in and he wasnt there, so i left it there than i had to go to the doctors and i didnt care enough to call up cause i doubted he had the sand paper. he left a decent size air bubble on the driver side when he redid it so im hoping maybe he can fix that and see if he can heat the tint than sand it and reapply it or just scrap it and whatever. I guess we'll see. I think he pushed the ones on the passenger side in and it looks better.

I heard having double tint causes adhesion issues, any seen yet? I have limo all around and yes, driving at night is hell. On dark roads, I have to roll the window down to see to either side

For running the red light...if it was close at all, get the traffic info as far as timing/structure of the intersection. Figure out the time it took for your car to go through the intersection at the given speed. Lastly,

I havent noticed anything. I'll keep a look out. It seems that since its an adhesive thats sticking to a window it should stick the tint as well. I dont see how it would even ever come off. But i guess only time will tell.

Nope not anymore, or they'd be on my car. I sold my eibachs and regret it now since I sold my omnis and am not able to save up for my teins yet since I'm buying a house, the eibachs would have worked for now. I even have spring compressors

those blue high beams actually look ok. do you have them wired to come on as low beams, and then your low beams come on as high beams.

thats how mine were with my yellow high beams, but i kept getting pulled over.

I don't, I just had them for high beams, but they reflected (like zero's pic) and made the headlight look all blue With my new retro, I may do something more creative, I gave away the blue to zero cuz I'm switchin up the colors

i do. i have those blue ones he has there^ I guess for some reason i thought that since one is like 9005 and the other is 9006 i thought maybe the housing is diffent as far as what fits and what doesnt.

If thats the case, ill swap my highs into the low beam spot and my old high beams back into their highs spot. That would work right?

because they're so bright? is that why? They can always be confused with HID's though eh? even though they're no where near as bright.

alright, either way, 9005 bulbs do not work in 9006 bulbs spot. they dont fit.

haha i could have told you that, you have to do a 9005 conversion........but you might as well just drive with the high beams on all the time because its basically the same thing.

so what exactly did u get pulled over for? having yellow low beams or using ur highbeams as regulars? Ive seen plenty of cars that have that amber yellow headlight tint on the whole headlight and not get pulled over, so i cant imagine why you'd get pulled over except for ur bulbs being really bright

Hmm...and how would I go about doing this? I just think itd be cool to use my highs as lows. My lows disappoint me.
