Hey....has anyone ever tried putting a 97-98 2.5TL engine into a CL?

 

2.5, I thought it was a 3.5tl

 

I meant 3.2TL

 

3.5 is the RL and the 3.2 is the TL but i would think the RL or the TL engines would fit considering the amount of space we have in our engine bays.

 

96-98 TL 2.5L ohc I5 ci-152 hp-176 torque-170 4-speed automatic: mpg 20city/25highway

 

i haven't heard of anyone putting the 2.5L in a 1st gen. Getting minimal hp/tq improvements and being stuck with an auto would turn off most people to this kind of swap. I'm sure when most of the other people post their $.02 they'll tell you that its not worth the money when you can drop in an h22 with a ton of aftermarket support...among other pros

Yup; 1996-1998

The 2.5TL and the 3.2TL were rear-wheel drive cars.

So was the 3.2 Legend (1991-1995).

 

why would u swap for 7 more hp teh torque is nice 30 more lbs but it would never work. its a 5 cyclinder. and no aftermarket support. complete waste of time. the only engine u should swap is for a h23 or h22.

That would be the rear tailight of the s2000. I have my avatar set to a user on the s2ki forum. Everytime he changes it, I get a surprise.
