eh, I knew I wasnt going to win. Its my friends car. Just that I dont see too many first gen cl videos. Just wanted to share.

A VR6 is a silent sleeper. They have gobs of torque at lower RPMs. It's not surprising you didn't beat it.

e36 M3's are nasty. my friend has a e36 328i 5spd which is a step below the M3 and that car is pretty quick. that car would smoke me. id like to race him to know where i stand. maybe ill keep up with him at lower speeds.

It kinda looked like he just got the jump on you in traffic. On the long strait, you might have caught or overtaken him in top end. This from a 3.0, your 2.2, not sure.

hmm i have a 2.3 but our cars suck off the line, but once up to speed they are quick. If you see from the vid, i didnt know if he was ready thats why it started slow then we hit the gas from about 10mph. Its not a great vid nor something to "OOoo" about, just something to watch.

good vid... your car sounds like an automatic. or was that his? either way. looks kind of like you slowed down once you saw someone get into his lane. next time you talk to your home boy just tell him you got heated mirrors. and that will make it all better.
