2.2CL Timing Belt Hard to Replace?
My CL has 87,000 miles on it. I'm considering replacing the timing belt myself. Anyone out there that's done it themselves? Was it hard? How long did it take? Any tips?
Also, anyone that had the dealer do it - how much?
Thanks!

Depends on youre level of skill.
Personally, removing the crank pulley bolt is enought to make me pay someone to do it.
I paid $575 (If I remember right) for new timing and balance shaft belt as well as a new water pump.
Its not that hard but I'm working on one now outside of the car and its pretty straight forward.
My civic is about due for a timing belt and will probably do mine myself.

I've always done my own work on cars - replaced a few timing belts as well - but I think I'm going to have the dealer do mine on the CL - looks pretty tight in there - I've got the Chiltons manual and it sounds like a real pain in the arse. About 3 bills for them to do it?

YIKES! Looks like I'll be doing it myself! I'm going to call the Acura dealer tomorrow for an estimate.
